Rob Maurich crowned Risk Manager of the Year
The Risk Management Institution of Australasia (RMIA) is pleased to announce Rob Maurich as 2011 Risk Manager of the Year during the RMIA 2011 Conference in Melbourne on 21 November.
Mr Maurich from CBH Group will take on an ambassadorial role for RMIA and the industry, giving him a chance to share his knowledge and expertise through functions and industry publications.
“It is an honour to be awarded the 2011 Risk Manager of the Year Award and I would like to thank the RMIA and the RMOY Judging Panel in selecting my application that demonstrated CBH Group commitment to risk management, and the value it delivers to the organisation," Mr Maurich said.
“In the next twelve months I hope to share the journey and lessons learnt by myself and the CBH Risk & Assurance team and raise the profile of risk management both at business and community level,” he said.
Chair of the RMOY Judging Panel Peter Brass said the RMIA Risk Manager of the Year Award is the most prestigious award in the risk management profession across the Asia-Pacific region.
“Both finalists demonstrated a high standard of risk management excellence and were very worthy and fitting ambassadors for the risk profession,” Mr Brass said.
“On behalf of the Board I would like to congratulate both finalists and of course the Risk Manager of the Year for 2011, Rob Maurich,” he said.
The other finalist was David Durham, Legal Risk Counsel, Lexon Insurance in Queensland.
