Strategy
The Risk Management Institution of Australasia Limited (RMIA) is the largest professional association for risk management practitioners in the Asia-Pacific region.  It has more than 1,800 members covering every sector of the Australian economy, and all levels of government.  RMIA is a company limited by guarantee with a national board and chapters in the states and territories.
 
RMIA’s strategy is driven by:
 
Our Destination: RMIA is acknowledged by government, industry and the community as a strong, growing and vibrant Centre of Excellence that enhances members capability to maximise opportunity.
 
Our Purpose: Maximise members’ career opportunities by championing the management of risk.
 
Objectives
 
Knowledge: To be recognised as the primary reference point for knowledge on the management of risk.
 
Innovation: To constantly improve the capability of members to do things smarter.

Standards:

  • To drive excellence in the management of risk.
  • To successfully maintain RMIA’s role in the development and maintenance of risk management standards.
 
Development: Improve government, industry and community understanding of the management of risk.
