The Opportunity

The Risk & Assurance Partner is a role with responsibility to assess, enhance and execute the management of ElectraNet’s risk, internal audit and assurance processes; then, develop its operation via management initiatives, system reviews and assisting embedding industry best practices across the organisation. This will aim to actively ensure the business is working towards the elimination or minimisation of risk. The purpose of the role, in working with the Risk, Governance and Assurance Manager, is to ensure ElectraNet meets its operational & strategic risk and compliance requirements in a manner that supports the achievement of ElectraNet's strategic objectives.

The Risk & Assurance Partner will provide specialist operational advice and services across ElectraNet including support of business resilience requirements. This role will also maintain and manage delivery of an assurance and internal audit program to review controls and identify areas for improvement. You will be able to influence the enhancement of existing processes and advise on improvement opportunities.

A risk, audit and assurance professional, you are a results focused individual with the persistence to follow through and ensure risk & assurance matters have been adequately addressed.

ElectraNet are looking for someone who thrives on service delivery, builds effective relationships & can work within a high-performance team. With exceptional interpersonal skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to direct and guide others to appropriately protect and position the business.

You will be able to balance multiple competing priorities, be able to support internal stakeholders and manage the internal audit and assurance program all whilst ensuring risks are appropriately identified, assesses, managed and reported.

With qualifications in risk management or another related areas you will have extensive experience in a similar role, working in a complex and fast paced commercial environment.

You will have the ability to influence and negotiate with a range of stakeholders across the business, possess strong management skills with the ability to develop and deliver expert advice to ensure risk and assurance processes are being complied to and therefore, minimise risk across all aspects of the business.
