ACT Chapter - Security & ICT Risk Management Event
The ACT Chapter would like to welcome you to our first 2020 RMIA ACT Chapter event on security / ICT risk management. This event isn’t just for those in the security / ICT risk field – the lessons learned from case studies to be covered are designed to be applicable across any type of risk management.
Our speaker will be Richard Myers who is the Managing Partner of Design Risk Consulting and a member of the ACT Risk Management Chapter Committee.
Richard provides physical and ICT risk management advice for a wide range of clientele. He has over 35 years of policing and security risk management experience, supported by a Masters in Policing, Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism and a Bachelor of Science in Security Risk. This includes providing specialist risk and security advice to the Melbourne Convention Centre, Nepean Hospital, Queensland Urban Utilities and ActewAGL.
Richard will talk about:
- Why it is critical to effectively manage security and ICT risks
- Relevant case studies where security and ICT risk management has been effectively applied to improve organisational outcomes and lessons learned from these case studies
- How his experiences in security and ICT risk management can be applied more broadly to managing other types of risks.
As part of the evening, we will have networking from 5:30 pm to 6 pm and then Richard’s presentation and Q&A from 6 pm to 7 pm.
Drinks and nibbles will be provided. Please register via the details below.
