Our topic for this webinar is The Ethics of Artificial Intelligence.
Artificial Intelligence is a technology that has been around for decades with the moral and ethical discussions being brought into discussion in various forms of media ranging from Isaac Asimov to the Terminator movies to talks given by today’s tech leaders like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Tim Cook. With recent advancements in this space, many of these discussions are starting to become more real.
The focal questions being…were we better off before? is it right? and where do we draw the line? What are the ethical and risk questions?
Join technologist, educator and lyricist, Robin Lee as we discuss the rights and wrongs of this innovative ground-breaking technology.
About the Speaker
Robin Lee is the VP, APAC for Napier Technologies and the Global FinTech Liaison for a US Government entity. His career started in Silicon Valley before moving to Wall Street where he worked as an analyst covering technology in the Hedge Fund space. He then moved to the Compliance/RegTech space which included 7 start up launches, 2 acquisitions, multiple board roles, 2 books and a strategic role at Refinitiv.
He holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, a degree in Mathematics, Computer science and Management from King’s College London and Diplomas in Compliance and AML with the International Compliance Association.
Alpa Parekh - Inaugural RMIA SEA Chapter President and Director, Risk Advisory at Blue Connector, based in Singapore.
Alpa has over 20 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, process improvement, change and project management. Alpa brings a breadth of sector experience from FinTech, Financial Services and Consulting.
Alpa enables companies to build and embed a risk management framework. She is passionate about risk management and believes companies can manage risks to build resilience.
She has implemented practical risk mitigation and governance processes in financial services firms ranging across retail, institutional and capital markets sectors. She has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cranfield University (UK), is a Certified Public Accountant (USA), Chartered Accountant (Australia & New Zealand), Certified Internal Auditor, and a Certified Banking and Credit Analyst (Corporate Finance Institute). She is currently pursuing The Certified Financial Crime Specialist Examination via ACFCS.
