Join the NSW Chapter for an afternoon with Steve Pearce, CEO of Surf Lifesaving NSW

About Steve Pearce

Steven is the Chief Executive Officer of Surf Life Saving NSW. He has 32 years emergency management experience as a senior officer with Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW State Emergency Service, where he has been awarded numerous commendations and citations.


During this period, he has coordinated and provided leadership in whole of government responses to some of NSW largest and most expensive natural disasters and emergencies in NSW recent history.


He then entered the corporate sector in 2015 providing crisis and emergency response capability development to executives and boards of some of Australia's largest corporates.


In 2017, he was appointed CEO of Surf Life Saving NSW, one of the largest and most iconic volunteer member based emergency service in Australia with 75000 members. Steven is currently leading the organisation on significant transformational change, through cultural focusing, innovation, collaboration and technology, to ensure it remains relevant, adaptive and prepared to meet the changing operating environment.
