The SA Chapter of RMIA is pleased to invite you to explore some contemporary approaches to building resilience through the implementation of risk management activities in your organisation.
Hosted by the RMIA SA & NT Chapter in partnership with Deloitte’s, join our Facilitator and Presenters as we guide you through practical solutions to manage risk with real-life examples from past SA bushfires and the recent Coronavirus outbreak.
About the Topic
Resilience: a concept concerned fundamentally with how an individual, a business, a community or a system effectively recovers quickly from disturbance, disaster and change.
About our Speakers
Shane Bolton is the Manager, Disaster Resilience at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). Shane is based at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. He is responsible for overseeing emergency and disaster management, business continuity and security operations across numerous hospitals and community service sites. Shane was also the project lead for the Human Disease risk assessment using the National Emergency Risk Assessment Guidelines, with a specific focus on Pandemic Influenza.
Ian Tanner is the Major Incident Controller at CFS, a recognised leader and practitioner of fire management in SA. He has considerable fire management experience, originally engaged as the Senior Regional Fire Management Officer for the National Parks and Wildlife Service since early 2004 in the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges region. He spent two years as the State Manager Fire Planning before returning to the Region as the Manager Fire, AMLR in 2019. In 2016 he was recognised with an Australian Fire Service Medal in the Australia Day Honours List.
