We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk Management - Advisor to play a key role in our developing our capability in the Transport, Rail, Mining, Power, Oil and Gas or Utilities sectors. We’re seeking a committed professional, who is passionate about creating exceptional solutions and generating client value.
 
About your new role
 
Our leading Risk Management team, operates virtually both nationally and internationally, is recognised for their high quality of work and diverse capabilities. The Risk Management team sits within GHD Advisory and addresses of our clients’ needs across markets, from strategic engagements to the operational face and throughout the project life cycle.

Aspects of the role include work in following areas:

  • Advising clients in multiple aspects of risk management
  • Facilitation of Risk and Safety related workshops using a variety of techniques (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, bowties, FMECA, SMS)
  • Development of Major Hazard Facility Safety Cases
  • Provision of Technical Process Safety services
  • Safety in Design Assessments & Evaluations
  • Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety (RAMS) Assessments
  • Project risk assessment and monte carlo analysis
  • Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)
  • Development of project & safety risk management plans
  • Auditing and compliance
  • Create control framework design and governance to transformations solutions in Risk and HSE
  • Technical contribution to knowledge base of the risk practice

To achieve these objectives applicants will be assessed with respect to the following criteria:

  • 5-10+ years industry experience in energy and resources, water, environment, property and buildings and/or transportation industries
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications: Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical engineering or other equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English
  • Client relationship interactions and job management skills
  • Ability to prepare competitive bids and proposals
  • A working knowledge & practicable applications of Statuary Regulations, Australian & International Standards and relevant Codes of Practice
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Previous experience in a consultancy environment is desirable
