Risk Manager of the Year

The Risk Manager of the Year is now in its 30th year.  This award recognises individual risk practitioners who deliver excellence in the management of risk for their organisation. The applicant  must demonstrate that their work has been at an enterprise level. The RMIA Risk Manager of the Year 2017 (RMOY2017) will be awarded to the practitioner judged to have excelled in the management of risk against the following criteria:

  1. Business outcome focus
  2. Strategic and systems thinking
  3. Communicating and influencing
  4. Stakeholder focus
  5. Application of professional risk management knowledge
  6. Ethical practice

All nominations will be reviewed in strictest confidence by an independent panel of judges.

Risk Consultant of the Year

The award is for the individual who is delivering excellence in the management of risk management services for their clients. The applicant must demonstrate that their work has been at an enterprise level. The RMIA Risk Consultant of the Year 2017 (RCOY2017) will be awarded to the consultant judged to have excelled in the management of risk management services against the following criteria:

  1. Business outcome focus
  2. Strategic, operational and systems thinking
  3. Communicating and influencing
  4. Stakeholder focus
  5. Application of professional risk management knowledge
  6. Ethical practice

All nominations will be reviewed in strictest confidence by an independent panel of judges.

Risk Student of the Year

RMIA welcomes applications from full-time or part-time Tertiary or Vocational Education students undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate studies in a risk management discipline. The field of study can include either a full qualification in ‘risk management’ or specialised risk management-based subjects within another qualification. To be eligible to apply for the Award students must be:

• Currently undertaking “risk management” studies at an undergraduate or post graduate level on a full-time or part-time basis

Or

• Due to complete /and or have recently completed a full-time or part-time tertiary or vocational education Risk Management qualication during the 2016 – 2017 Academic Year; and are

• Able to demonstrate outstanding achievement and excellence in their studies;

• Able to provide a personal reference from a Head of School or equivalent Risk Management Academic or an experienced Risk Professional.

All nominations will be reviewed in strictest confidence by an independent panel of judges.
