Wyndham City is offering a rare opportunity to work in one of the fastest growing municipalities in Victoria. The Contracts, Procurement and Risk Management Department is seeking a motivated and driven leader with a values-based approach to join its leadership group.
This role will lead a dedicated specialist team to support the safety and protection of people and property through the effective delivery of occupational health and safety, emergency preparedness and corporate security.
Your leadership and technical expertise will oversee the success of Council’s corporate health and safety system, and Council’s emergency preparedness, and the effectiveness of corporate security arrangements. Reporting to the Manager Contracts, Procurement and Risk Management, you will be responsible for fostering a work environment and culture where staff are committed to ensuring safety first.
Tertiary qualifications in occupational health and safety, emergency management or other related discipline, coupled with subsequent relevant experience, in particular experience in occupational health and safety and / or emergency management. Local government experience is desirable, however, your strong organisational and interpersonal skills are essential prerequisites for your success in this opportunity.
