Wyndham City is offering a rare opportunity to work in one of the fastest growing municipalities in Victoria. The Contracts, Procurement and Risk Management Department is seeking a motivated and driven leader with a values-based approach to join its leadership group.
This role will lead a dedicated specialist team to deliver procurement and risk services that fosters efficiency, creates value and effectively manages risk for Council and the community.
Your leadership and technical expertise will oversee the success and continuous improvement of Council’s procurement services and enterprise risk management program. Reporting to the Manager Contracts, Procurement and Risk Management, you will be responsible for fostering a work environment and culture where staff are committed to efficient, ethical and compliant purchasing; and mitigating risk while being able to take advantage of business opportunities.
Tertiary qualifications in procurement, risk management, business, finance or other related discipline, coupled with subsequent relevant experience, in particular experience in procurement and / or risk management. Local government experience is desirable however your strong organisational and interpersonal skills are essential prerequisites for your success in this opportunity.
