Your focus will be on leading the people and performance strategy and unit for the City and supporting the unit’s four functions (Human Resources, Organisation Development, Risk and Payroll) to work collaboratively to deliver on key corporate objectives and provide professional advice and practical and timely support and information to a workforce of more than 1000.

As the successful candidate, you will have a strong HR/OD generalist background, with a record of success in driving organisational change initiatives. Ideally you will come from the community/government sector, however a well-rounded skillset and sound background in strategic human resource management will help you secure this excellent opportunity.

You will be:

  • contemporary in your approach and possess a high level of business acumen with the ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • highly numerate with strong conceptual reasoning skills
  • able to display evidence of a strategic risk management outlook
  • tertiary qualified in HR, OD and/or management, preferably at postgraduate level.
