Risk and Compliance Adviser (x2 vacancies)

 

SALARY RANGE: $81,614 – $89,968 pa (effective from 30 April 2016) (plus 17% super)

HOURS OF DUTY: Full-time (36.75 hours per week)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Ongoing

LOCATION OF POSITION: Melbourne Burwood Campus

THE OPPORTUNITY

The purpose of this position is to manage and maintain the University’s risk and compliance program and to provide high level advice and services to staff to ensure effective management of the University’s risk and compliance programs.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Manage and maintain the University’s risk and compliance programs, including the frameworks, policies and procedures.
  • Provide high level risk and compliance advice, guidance and support to key stakeholders, including development and delivery of training and awareness programs to the University community.
  • Manage monitoring and reporting, including changes in risk, breaches and incidents, and develop comprehensive reports for the Executive and University governance committees as appropriate.
  • Ensure effective maintenance and development of the University’s Risk and Compliance Registers and administration of the risk and compliance software tools.

ABOUT YOU 

  • Tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Proven experience with risk and compliance frameworks and/or assurance and internal control frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing high level position papers, reports, briefings and other documents.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate communications that are appropriate for their intended audience.
