Following the appointment of a new CEO, MCC has undergone a significant and positive transformation which has seen the creation of several new positions, including the role of Senior Risk and Compliance Advisor. Reporting to the Strategic Risk and Assurance Advisor, this is a significant role for MCC. The successful person will apply a disciplined and systematic approach to undertake reviews and improve the effectiveness of MCC’s compliance, risk controls and claims management. Essential to this role will be the ability to provide valuable practical and independent advice and recommendations to various levels of council including the CEO.

To succeed in this role, MCC are seeking an experienced and motivated self-starter who has a background in internal auditing, statutory compliance and/or risk management practices. Furthermore, you will have the confidence to investigate and provide contemporary and customised risk control improvements that result in improved business systems. Your analytical and investigative nature will see you thrive in a high performing, deadline driven team and your capacity to build and maintain credible partnerships across MCC will be paramount in instilling trust in you and the function. A Tertiary qualification in business, risk management, finance / commerce, internal audit or related discipline is required.
