Mentorship Program

Mentoring connections that build capability and confidence, connecting aspiring and experienced risk professionals.

The RMIA Mentorship Program brings together emerging and experienced risk professionals to foster meaningful connections, knowledge-sharing, and leadership development. Delivered in partnership with the RMIA State Chapters, the program offers a structured yet flexible platform for members to engage in impactful mentoring relationships.

Mentorship reflects RMIA’s commitment to cultivating a vibrant and collaborative risk community. By pairing aspiring professionals with seasoned leaders, the program strengthens the profession through shared experience, practical insight, and career guidance - helping members navigate complexity and lead with confidence.

Why participate in the mentorship program?

RMIA’s Mentorship Program provides:

  • For Early-Career Professionals
Build a trusted relationship with an experienced risk practitioner who can offer tailored support, career advice, and real-world perspective. Mentorship helps you explore career pathways, build confidence, and grow into your role as a future risk leader.

  • For Experienced Professionals
Make a meaningful contribution to the profession by mentoring the next generation of risk professionals. Share your expertise, refine your leadership and coaching skills, and help shape the future of risk through guidance and collaboration.

“The program exceeded my expectations, providing valuable insights and practical advice. It helped me tackle several challenges I had been struggling with for a while. The program was very well-organised, and the support and communication from RMIA throughout were top-notch.”

Jason Moore, Mentee

“Being a mentor to a mentee changes the mentor’s perspective as further (younger) knowledge is also attained. A mentor is also secretly a mentee in its own way.”

Robert Rochery, Mentor

“I would highly recommend the mentoring program as it is a great way to stay in touch with an ever-changing workforce.”

Dave Owens, Mentor
