About the Role

Supporting Risk & Compliance within a Leading Tertiary Institution

Broadleaf Projects is seeking a highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented Risk & Compliance Associate to support risk, governance, and compliance activities within a leading tertiary institution’s operational and project delivery environment.

This role would suit someone who enjoys structure, governance, continuous improvement, stakeholder coordination, and working with systems, frameworks, reporting, and project risk processes in a complex institutional setting.

The successful candidate will work in an embedded capacity within a major tertiary institution while remaining employed and supported by Broadleaf Projects.

The Opportunity

This is a part-time position (0.6 FTE / 3 days per week) focused on supporting project risk management, governance reporting, compliance processes, operational risk activities, and continuous improvement initiatives across construction and infrastructure delivery programs.

Key Priorities

You will work closely with project managers, governance stakeholders, operational teams, and the Risk & Compliance Lead to support:

  • Risk and issue registers

  • Governance reporting

  • Risk assessments and reviews

  • Compliance processes and frameworks

  • Project delivery documentation

  • Lessons learned processes

  • Power BI and reporting support

  • SharePoint and Teams administration

  • Risk and compliance meeting coordination

  • Stakeholder communication and engagement

Experience & Background

We are open to candidates from a range of backgrounds including:

  • Risk & compliance

  • Project governance / PMO

  • Construction project administration

  • Audit or assurance

  • Institutional or university environments

  • Operational risk

  • Project coordination

  • Governance reporting

  • Business operations

Desirable

  • Audit, compliance, or risk-related certification, including training or qualifications through RMIA or equivalent professional bodies.

  • Certified Practising Risk Manager, risk associate, or equivalent credential.

  • Exposure to ISO 31000 or equivalent risk management standards.

  • Experience within tertiary education, infrastructure, construction, or project delivery environments

  • Experience with Power BI, SharePoint, Teams, or risk management systems

  • Salary Package: $65,075 – $71,343 inclusive of superannuation
