The Opportunity:

Your key responsibilities will be to oversees risk management across Lockheed Martin Australia (LMA), ensuring compliance with industry standards while supporting strategic growth and operational excellence. It involves enterprise-wide risk governance, stakeholder engagement, and the continuous improvement of risk processes, tools, and training.

Program Risk Management

  • Deliver risk governance support in line with AS31000.

  • Provide direct risk management to programs as needed.

  • Maintain risk metrics and reports across programs and Business Areas.

  • Ensure risk practices meet cost, schedule, and technical standards (AS31000, COSO).

  • Support Business Areas with risk planning and governance for bids and proposals.

  • Drive continuous improvement in risk management through training, audits, and process updates

Enterprise Risk Management

  • Provide SME support to the Director for Program Performance, Quality & Operations in ERM.

  • Maintain ERM metrics and reports on governance, program health, and execution.

  • Coordinate ERM Working Groups and Board support, including materials and minutes.

  • Identify and propose Enterprise Risks and Opportunities for Board approval.

  • Drive mitigation actions for approved Enterprise Risks and Opportunities.

Program Performance Responsibilities

  • Maintain the LMA Risk Management Framework

  • Oversee risk management processes, skills development, and tools usage

  • Lead the Risk Management Community of Practice

  • Support LMA continuous improvement agenda

  • Drive risk tools adoption and self-help to drive risk management excellence

  • Facilitate ERM tool adoption and implementation

To be successful you will need:

  • Extensive experience in Enterprise and Program risk management, governance at both the project and Business level within the Australian Defence sector, aligned with AS31000 and ASDEFCON standards

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels, with proven ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

  • Tertiary qualifications from an accredited institution in Risk Management or Enterprise Excellence or alike
