About the Role

We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Risk Manager to shape and lead the organisation’s risk management and work health and safety strategy. In this newly created role, you’ll drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs that make a real difference.

This position is accountable for maintaining full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and recognised best practices, while cultivating a proactive risk and safety culture.

Reporting to the COO, you will:

  • Develop and execute organisational risk management strategy.

  • Lead and partner the WHS and Quality & Audit teams to strengthen compliance and safety.

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.

  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure risk considerations are integrated into business decisions.

  • Drive proactive risk initiatives and preventative measures across sites.

  • Develop and deliver risk management and safety programs for all levels of staff.

  • Leadership of WHS, with accountability for maintaining the organisation’s health and safety management system and ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

  • Overseeing the Quality and Compliance Audit team to maintain robust audit practices and achieve quality and information security accreditations.

  • Report preparation for Executives and Board level on risk trends, compliance status and safety metrics.

  • Key point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors.

About You:

  • Degree qualification in business or related field.

  • Strong proven experience in risk management within a regulated and quality-controlled environment.

  • Understanding of WHS systems and applicable standards desirable.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders and influence outcomes effectively.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, progressive organisation.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and support teams effectively.

  • Collaborative leadership style with a focus on empowerment and trust.

  • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.

  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to undertake interstate/intrastate travel as required.
