RMIA Certification: How Certification Works

RMIA certification is based on evidence of professional capability, experience and ongoing professional development.

The certification process consists of:

  1. Collect requirements - See “What Will I Need to Apply” below.

  2. Application - Submit your application and supporting documentation.

  3. Assessment - Your experience, qualifications and supporting evidence are independently reviewed.

  4. Examination or Professional Review - Applicants complete the relevant assessment requirements for their certification level.

  5. Certification - Successful applicants are awarded their certification and digital credential.

  6. Continuing Professional Development - Certified members maintain their certification through ongoing learning and professional development. Certified members are responsible for 20 CPD points annually.


RMIA Certification: What Will I Need To Apply?

All RMIA certification applications require evidence of professional practice.

Typical application requirements include:

  • Completed application form

  • Current resume/CV

  • Professional summary or cover letter

  • Qualifications and certifications

  • Professional referees

  • Supporting evidence relevant to the certification level
