This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on risk practitioner to play a key role in shaping and embedding best-practice risk and continuity frameworks across a national business with a strong social purpose, and deliver on its mission to create vibrant, safe communities for older Australians.

Your Impact

·        Lead the ongoing development and embedding of Aveo’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including the Risk Appetite Statement and divisional and enterprise risk registers.

·        Facilitate engaging risk and resilience workshops, as well as training and scenario-based planning sessions across all business functions.

·        Prepare and deliver clear, actionable risk reporting and insights to key stakeholders, including the General Manager – Risk and Safety, Executive Leadership Team, and the Board.

·        In partnership with external consultants, oversee the design and implementation of a whole-of-business Business Resilience Framework, encompassing business continuity and crisis management planning.

·        Champion a culture of risk awareness and resilience by delivering tailored training and effective communication across the organisation.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, with at least 3 years ideally in enterprise risk management or within a Big 4 consulting firm.

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, Risk, or a related discipline (preferred).

  • Experience in property, real estate, accommodation, or aged care sectors is advantageous, but not essential.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, influence, and build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with sound business judgment.

  • High level of integrity, adaptability, and a results-driven mindset.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including report and business writing.
